All registrations completed after Jan 10th  will be placed on the waiting list.

If you are registering a player who is connected to a team. Your child will be on the waiting list until we have placed everyone who signed up on time. If spots are still available on that coach's team, you will be assigned to it.

If you are registering a player who is not connected to a team, your child will be on the waiting list until we have placed all the players who registered on time.

We typically need coaches across all age groups. Volunteering to coach a team usually means your child will be taken off the waiting list immediately. If you are interested in volunteering to coach, please log back into your account and create a volunteer coach application

Obviously, if we do not place your child on a team, you will get 100% back of your registration fees.

Parents, thank you for considering LAFC So Cal Rec and the sport of soccer for your child.  As a volunteer-run Rec club, we understand the challenges parents face when trying to juggle work, family life, school, and extracurricular activities for their kids, and we appreciate your making time for this team sport.

Before registering a player or team please make sure that you and your player/s are available to play every week listed below 

In the Fall, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (Saturdays). 

In the Spring, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (Saturdays). 

Please make sure you understand and agree to abide by all the rules of our program before committing to play with us this fall/spring. We completely understand if our program does not fit your needs or your team.

In any age group where we have more players than we have volunteer coaches. We would reach out to the draft players' parents and recruit the additional volunteer coaches that are needed.

If no parents volunteer to coach. Players will be assigned to teams based on their registration completion date. Players not assigned to teams in this process can either

A - Be placed on the waiting list or  B - Get a full refund

Due to safety Concerns and potential for injuries.

Moving forward, there will be no slide tackling in our recreational program at any age group.

When competing for the ball, all players must stay on their feet. Any player who slides tackles will result in a foul for the opposing team.

Parent volunteer coaches are the backbone of our club.  The main requirements to coach are a great attitude and a willingness to learn and apply positive coaching techniques.  No previous coaching experience is necessary.

The Adidas uniform is not included in the registration fees.

• The same style will be used for 2 years 4 seasons Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025. (We have added Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 same style uniform)

• Any LAFC jersey with the official LAFC So Cal Club logo can be worn in our games

  Guerrero, Blank (no sponsor) or our new sponsor BMO. All of these jerseys are OK

• New players to our program will need to purchase a full Adidas LAFC uniform during the registration process.

• Sizing Guide - YOUTH,  WOMEN,  MEN .

• ADIDAS 2 Jerseys. Home: Black, Away: White, Shorts Black Socks Black.

• 

• ALL Players must be wearing the new official LAFC So Cal Adidas uniform. Players without an official uniform will NOT be allowed to play. 

• Jersey numbers are not required.

• Cleats and shin guards are required for practices and games.

• Distribution logistics. It would be difficult to send out all of the uniforms. The uniforms will be handed out at the office. Pick up dates are usually close to the season starts. More information will sent out via email. We like the parents to see the uniforms so they can adjust the sizing and make sure they’re getting the right size. 

• Seasons is approximately 4/5 months long,

• Fall beginning in September and ending in December.

• Spring beginning in February and ending in May.

• Registration fees include insurance coverage, permits. also other expenses such as field maintenance, staffing, equipment, photo package and a custom medals to celebrate the season.

Q - Can a player play Rec and Club in the Fall? 

A - NO (You can only play both in the Spring)

Q - Can a player play Rec and Club in the Spring? 

A - YES (You can only play both in the Spring)

Q - Can a player play UP an age group? 

A - Yes (If it's OK with the coach of your team) If you are coaching, or you know of a coach that is coaching and willing to accept a younger player on their team. 

We cannot randomly add players that are not age-appropriate to a volunteer coach.

Q - Can a player play Down an age group?

A - All players must play age-appropriate based on the age groups posted on our website. 

Unfortunately, this question comes up quite a lot and there are no exceptions to this rule. Even if your child was born on December 31st of the previous year. 

Practices begin in Fall August,  Spring late February.

• The practices Schedule is based on the volunteer coaches availability.

• Most Teams practice 1 time per week

• Practices are typically held between 4:00-7:30PM, 

• Proper athletic clothes, shin guards, cleats, and water needed.

• Individual soccer balls are preferred, ball size is explained

• U5-U8 SIZE 3 

• U9-U12 SIZE 4 

• U13 + SIZE 5

Fall - September through December, Spring - March through May

Fall - In the past we have played games in our Fall program at Pierce college, AC Stelle, Hale MS & WHA.   Depending on the number of players that sign up for the program will determine if we have to play at other venues

Spring - In the past we have played All games in our Spring program at Pierce college & WHA, Hale MS, & AC Stelle. and we are working hard to do the same this year. Depending on the number of players that sign up for the program will determine if we have to play at other venues.

Games are typically played between 9:00AM - 5:30PM, 

Approximately 9 Fall & 8 Spring games per season.  The club strives to reschedule any games canceled due to weather or poor air quality.  

If we have an odd number of teams 1 team each week will have a bye (no game)

WVSL REQUEST POLICY

1. If you are requesting a spot on a specific team then YOU need to contact the coach of that team to find out if he/she has a spot available on that team and to make him/her aware that you would like to be on that team.

2. You may list a Friend/s, (same age group required) If your friend/s is already on a team YOU will need to contact your friend's coach to see if there's a spot available on that team.

3. LAFC So Cal can NOT force a coach to have a player because of a request.
