Field Status (as of 2/20/2026, 2:00 PM):

- Hale MS (LAUSD): OPEN

- A.C. Stelle (LVUSD): OPEN (Fields cannot be used within 48 hours of rain)

Weather and Cancellation Policy:

We prioritize player safety while attempting to stay on schedule. Soccer is played in most weather conditions, including light rain. Cancellations typically occur due to heavy rain the night before that renders fields unplayable (muddy) rather than weather at game time.

 

- Friday/Saturday Rain: Games will only be called off in advance if rain is heavy enough to flood the fields. Otherwise, we wait until Saturday/Sunday morning to assess.

- School Discretion: Since we use school facilities, we may not receive notice of a closure until 8:30 AM on game day. Updates will be posted to the website as soon as they are received.

- First Game of the Day: If you have the first scheduled game, please report to the fields regardless of the weather unless a cancellation is already posted.

 

Safety Guidelines:

 

- Thunder and Lightning: Play or practice must stop immediately. Seek shelter and do not stand under trees. The referee or coach will wait 30 minutes after the last strike or clap of thunder before resuming. If a delay overlaps with the next scheduled game, the current game will be considered complete.

- Unplayable Fields: Referees and coaches are responsible for suspending play if the field becomes unsafe.

- Parental Discretion: Parents should not hesitate to remove their players if they feel conditions are unsafe. No penalties will be issued for safety-related actions.
